While the applications among the chemical process, HVAC, power and energy industries differ widely, one common thread is that they use some of the most complex physics from a CFD perspective. These include turbulence-chemistry interaction, liquid phase and multiphase reaction modeling, reaction with particle formation (precipitation, crystallization), heat transfer with phase-change, and surface and catalytic reactions.
ANSYS FLUENT’s CFD tools are the industry’s most comprehensive, time-tested, and easy-to-use. Its advanced CFD technology lets engineers in these industries handle complex vessel geometries, such as static mixers, cyclone separators, and screw extruders, while capturing the complex physics involved in these flows. FLUENT’s multiphase models can capture the processes involved in burners, packed beds, and fermentation. It reliably simulates many applications involving maldistributed flow, mixing, separation, combustion, drying, and filtration for environmental, safety and hazard analysis.
