Explicit dynamics is a powerful and efficient analysis method used to model short duration, high energy dynamic events such as crash and impact, blast, drop testing, ballistics, and metal forming.
The ANSYS Workbench Explicit Dynamics tool provides a means of performing these types of analyses entirely within the Workbench environment. This Webinar includes an overview of explicit dynamics, some sample applications, and an introduction to some of the inputs and significant features of the Workbench Explicit Dynamics tool. It also includes a step-by-step demonstration of the tool using a Copper cylinder impacting an Aluminum plate at high velocity as an example.
