CAE Associates Presents at the 2008 ANSYS ConferenceAugust 25, 2008
Peter Barrett, Vice President of CAE Associates, presented at the annual International ANSYS Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. His presentation introduced the strengths of combining ANSYS Workbench and CivilFEM.
There are many challenges faced by Civil/Structural Engineers today, namely, the demand for increased construction efficiency with decreased material costs. Also, as our infrastructure ages, engineers need to extend the life of existing structures. All of these goals must be met while working to evaluate the risks of terrorist events.
Engineers can combine CivilFEM and ANSYS Workbench to meet these challenges; using ANSYS and CivilFEM technology to develop more accurate structural analysis models, develop automated analyses to save design time and perform “what if” and design optimization tasks to create more effective use of construction materials.
