Dr. Tsuei Introduces Benefits Of CFD To NY State Professional Engineers

April 15, 2008

Dr. Hsin-Hua Tsuei continued CAE Associates’ series of educational presentations about Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to the professional engineering community with his recent seminar sponsored by the Bronx County Chapter of New York State Professional Engineers.

Attendees were introduced to the benefits of integrating CFD analysis into design and development engineering efforts in facility and chemical process industries, as well in the electronics industry.

“Dr. Tsuei presented an excellent and wide ranging seminar describing CFD applications in many areas.  It was very eye-opening in terms of the scope of application, the current state of capability in CFD, and the level of information now available from CFD [technology],” said Jack Klienfeld, President of the Bronx County Chapter of New York Professional Engineers.

The presentation highlighted real-world examples of the benefits of performing a CFD analysis – including airflow patterns as related to the HVAC system at the new Allianz Stadium in Munich, Germany, CFD for Green Building Design and applications in the electronics industry.

Attendees consisted of members of Bronx Chapter of NYSSPE/NSPE and neighboring chapters, the local section of AIChE, faculty and students from Manhattan College Engineering and the local IEEE section.
