The Fall and Rise of Adam - ANSYS Advantage Article

This article appeared in Volume IX, Issue 3 of ANSYS Advantage magazine in October 2015.  Written by Michael Bak and Patrick Cunningham of CAE Associates, along with Carolyn Riccardelli of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, it details the years-long reconstruction of Tullio's Adam after the statue fell from its pedestal in 2002 and shattered into hundreds of fragements.  CAE Associates performed finite element analysis using ANSYS Mechanical software to ensure that novel conservation methods could be applied to  preserve as much of the original statue as possible as part of its reconstruction.
